Our Governor has a decision to make.
He will decide if thousands of Florida women will be told “no” when they go for their next mammogram. For the first time ever, the Florida Legislature approved lifesaving funding for our state’s breast cancer screening program. But, Governor Scott could use his power to veto that funding.
The impact could be devastating. We know that mammograms save lives. And we know that without this funding, many Florida women won’t be able to afford one.
Send an email to Governor Scott now using the following link:
Ask him to approve the state funding currently in the budget for the Mary Brogan Program to ensure that more women have access to breast cancer screening.
Right now, Florida is one of only seven states that provides no state funding for a screening program that is proven to save lives by detecting breast cancer at its earlier and most treatable stages. In just two minutes, you can help change this.
